US 2011 Trip: What We've Been Up To So Far
Our cousins in the Catskills are runners. I ran my first 5K in who knows how many years- 5 or 6 minimum. I'll be honest. I walked the hills and the next day I was still sore.
CT: a week of loads of fun! My new motto (still doing research to support my theory) is: "The family that roller skates together, stays together!" Girlies first time and we're for sure going again. I'm getting a video next. What fun! I'm wearing a glow necklace...
Another first: Bowling! Look at these girls: pros already!
Now it's more, faster, backwards, etc... for them.
The only ones needing respite after a few sketchy rides were the aunt and the uncle.
New firsts here were: roller coasters, cotton candy and the tilt-a-whirl. I wish I had a photo for the moment they tasted the cotton candy and stuffed their cheeks like hamsters.
The first ride we did was not a little kid ride. It went really fast and up and down while going around and around. Francini cackled happily the entire time.
NYC
We hit the Big Apple and did a few fun days of: Times Square, Union Square, and I'd say the subway riding was one of the highlights for the girls (pre-amusement park rides).
Below: kitschy NYC Diner
MA: So far it's been mellow in MA. Spending time with family, swimming in the Atlantic, working on house or vehicle projects (while I work or cook, Rick has been working with my father).
Below, we attended a small fundraiser and the girls got their faces painted and met a super sweet puppy.
We are over halfway done with our trip and I'll try to take more photos. I've been lazy and have missed several photo ops. Suffice to say the order of the days has been: good food, great family, gorgeous scenery and fun where we can get it!
